Kid-Friendly Bass Fishing Trips Near Disney
Bringing the kids? Absolutely. Our guided trips are family friendly and a great way to introduce kids to fishing while you’re visiting Florida. You don’t need any previous bass fishing experience, and we’ll help with everything from casting and baiting hooks to landing and holding fish for pictures.
We can keep things simple and focus on getting bites rather than spending the entire trip chasing one trophy bass. For a lot of families, that’s what makes fishing such a fun addition to a Disney vacation. The kids get outside, get on a boat, and have a chance to catch a real Florida largemouth bass. Parents can fish too, of course!
Just Minutes From the Disney World Resort Area
You don’t have to drive across Florida to find great bass fishing. Central Florida is home to some of the most productive largemouth bass lakes in the country, with excellent fishing available close to Disney World, Kissimmee, and the major Orlando resort areas.
Depending on the time of year and current fishing conditions, we’ll choose the lake that gives you the best combination of convenient travel and good fishing. Popular waters in the area include Lake Toho and the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, both well known for Florida largemouth bass.
If you’re staying at a Disney resort or elsewhere around the theme parks, we’ll help you figure out the best place to meet us and how much driving time to plan for.
2.5-Hour Quick Fishing Trips
Short on time? This trip was made for you! Our 2.5-hour quick trip gives you enough time to experience Florida bass fishing without taking up half your vacation day.

- Experienced anglers who want to sneak in some fishing
- Families with afternoon or evening theme park plans
- Anyone looking for an outdoor break from the Disney crowds
Morning trips are especially easy to work into a Disney itinerary. Fish for a couple of hours, head back to your resort, and get on with the rest of your day.
What Do We Catch?
Largemouth bass are the main attraction. Florida is famous for producing big largemouth bass, and the lakes surrounding Orlando and Kissimmee offer opportunities to catch them throughout the year.
Depending on the season, we may fish shallow vegetation, hydrilla, grass lines, spawning areas, offshore structure, or areas holding concentrations of baitfish. We offer both artificial lure and live bait fishing depending on your goals and experience level.
If you’re bringing younger kids or simply want the best opportunity for action, let us know when you book. We can plan the trip accordingly.
Do I Need to Bring Fishing Gear?
No! We provide the rods, reels, tackle, and fishing equipment you’ll need for the trip.
If you’ve never bass fished before, that’s completely fine. Your guide will show you what to do and help throughout the trip. Experienced bass anglers are welcome too. If you have a particular way you’d like to fish or you’re hoping to target a trophy Florida largemouth, tell us what you’re looking for and we can build the trip around it.
A Different Kind of Disney Fishing Excursion
There are plenty of things to do around Disney World, but there’s something special about getting away from the crowds and spending a morning on a Florida lake. Instead of another line, another ride, or another packed attraction, you can watch the sun come up over the water and see what grabs your line.
For kids, it can be one of those unexpected parts of the vacation they keep talking about. For parents who love to fish, it might be your best chance to sneak a little bass fishing into a family trip without disappearing for an entire day. That’s what our Disney fishing excursions are all about. They’re convenient, family friendly, and easy to work into an Orlando vacation.
Common Questions
How close is bass fishing to Disney World?

Can kids go on the fishing trip?
Yes. Our Disney area bass fishing trips are kid friendly, and beginners are welcome. If you’re bringing younger children, let us know so we can plan the trip around keeping them involved and getting them opportunities to catch fish.
